Favorites

My least favorite customers are the ones who try to use dish washing soap as detergent and no fabric softener.

One of my favorite customers is a man who brings in his construction work clothes with his itty bitty leopard print bikinis for me to wash by the pound.

The ones that freak me out are the ones who say they are in love with me, write me poems, and basically propose on site.

All of this while sweeping

As I was sweeping a gentleman was loading his clothes into a washing machine. I told him that unfortunately we were closing and the time for the last wash had already passed. He continued to tell me he has been coming here for years, that he used to be friends with the other attendant (who hasn't been her for almost a year now), and that that attendant used to keep the place open for 24 hours (which is not true). After picking up his clothes the man left and I kept sweeping. What I found to be even more interesting was the used condom behind one of the garbage cans. You can't pay someone enough to clean that stuff up.

Adult Supervision

I will never understand why some men come with their wives just to watch them do laundry. They just sit down and supervise them.
